If you’ve been following my journey, you know I don’t fit neatly into a political box. I’ve been incredibly vocal about my frustrations with the trajectory of the Trump Administration, and if we are putting labels on things, you could consider me more of a “Ron Paul-type” conservative. I believe in liberty, health, and accountability. I don’t care which side of the aisle those principles come from.
To be completely honest with you all, I am not voting Republican up and down the ballot tomorrow.
Politicians like Ashley Hinson and Zach Nunn have shown us exactly who they are through their voting records, and I refuse to give my vote to anyone who puts party or corporate PACs over the people of Iowa. My vote isn’t owned; it’s earned!
But Zach Lahn is different.
One of the things I loved most about Zach during the primary was that he didn’t have the establishment machine (or President Trump) clearing the path for him. The establishment, including Trump, threw their weight behind the ultimate swamp creature, Randy Feenstra. Zach had to fight for every single inch. He showed up to the debates, he spoke directly to the forgotten families of this state, and he earned his nomination through sheer grit. Of course, now that he’s the nominee, Trump is trying to cling to him, but that hasn’t swayed my support for Zach one bit. I’ve been a grassroots supporter from the jump. His initial primary debate solidified that decision for me, and I truly believe he will pave the way for a TRUE America First movement by actually putting Iowa FIRST.
On the other side of the ticket, we have Rob Sand. I don’t want to use my platform to just bash the guy, but if you want to know who is really funding his political ambitions and where his loyalties lie, you can see it for yourself by visiting therealrobsand.com. We don’t need another politician backed by global agricultural conglomerates pretending to be an everyday Iowan.
For me, this election isn’t about red vs. blue. It is quite literally a matter of life and death.
As a two-time cancer survivor, my absolute biggest fear is my children growing up in a state where it’s not a matter of if you will be diagnosed with cancer, but when. Between the glyphosate covering our soil and the nitrates running through our water, it feels like we’re all being slowly poisoned while the politicians in Des Moines look the other way and cash their checks.
Zach is the only one acknowledging this reality. He’s a farmer and a father who is putting his own skin in the game. We finally have a candidate who is willing to take the target off our families’ backs and put it squarely on the monopolies that are making us sick.
We have a chance to do something incredible tomorrow.
Join me in making history in Iowa by voting for Zach Lahn. He isn’t an establishment candidate. He started this campaign fueled by true grassroots support, and tomorrow, that is exactly how we are going to finish it. 👊🏻
