Midwest Millennial Mama ™️

Welcome

I didn’t choose this path; it chose me.

2x Cancer Survivor. Master Educator. Sovereign Matriarch. 🕊️

I see the playbook; I’m raising my kids to see it too. 👁 I am the Midwest Millennial Mama – here to expose the scripts that divide us, protect our Iowa land, and teach the next generation. Welcome to my awakening. ✨️

I’m a survivor, an educator, and most importantly a Midwest Millennial Mama. The lens is finally clear, and I’m inviting you to pull up a chair. Explore the site. Read the archives. Join the conversation.

  • Why I’m Raising My Children to See Beyond the Narrative

From Channel One to Total Silence I remember sitting in my middle school classroom following the 9/11 era, watching Channel One News. Even then, there was likely a layer of propaganda, but at least we were given a window into the world. Today? Our schools are often so preoccupied with being “politically correct” that our…

  • The Propaganda Machine is Failing Us

I’m done. Actually, let’s be real, I checked out of the absolute circus that is mainstream cable news a long time ago. Whether it’s CNN, MSNBC, or Fox News, it’s painfully obvious they aren’t reporting the truth; they are just manufacturing a script. On my Next Gen page, we’ve talked about Robert Maxwell, the man…

  • Our Tax Dollars, Their Secrets

The $18 Million Cover-Up It’s hard to find the words when you realize exactly how your hard-earned money is being spent in Washington. As a mama, a taxpayer, and a proud Iowan, I’m used to hearing that there’s “no room in the budget.” We’re told there isn’t enough for our local public schools. There isn’t…

  • 4 Burning Questions for Ankeny’s 2026 Candidates

A Midwest Millennial Mama’s Take It’s no secret that things are heating up in Iowa politics, and right here in Ankeny, the 2026 elections are already taking shape. While the big headlines might be about the Governor’s race (and you know I’ve been busy supporting Zach Lahn!), the people representing us right here in Des…

  • The Price of a War That Isn’t Ours

I remember exactly where I was as an adolescent when the “Forever Wars” began after 9/11. We were told it was about safety, about “weapons of mass destruction,” about protecting our way of life. Now, I look at my oldest daughter, who is an adolescent herself, and I feel a sickening sense of déjà vu.…

  • ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

𝗕𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗠 𝗛𝗢𝗠𝗘. 🇺🇸 I am sitting here looking at the news, and my heart is breaking. They are reporting that dozens of little girls, more than 100, were killed today when a school was hit during the strikes in Iran. This is nuts. As a mother and as a human being, this is unnecessary,…

  • Why the “Billionaire Class” Wants Your Child’s Screen

Throughout my cancer journey, I started having visions and thoughts about the future so much so that I started writing about it. It eventually developed into a fictional, sci-fi, dystopian novel based on my medical trauma that is in the works… more to come on that later. 👀 But one of the things I’ve imagined…

  • This Just Got Personal

Why an Executive Order on Glyphosate Hits Home for This Midwest Millennial Mama If you’ve been following the news, you might have seen headlines about President Trump’s recent executive order concerning glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup. For many, it might seem like just another political maneuver, another piece of legislation in a long line…

  • Where is the OUTRAGE?!

In England, the King is calling for his own brother’s prosecution. In Norway, the Princess is being stripped of support. 🌍 But in America? Our government is running cover for elite pedophiles until people like Rep. Ro Khanna and Rep. Thomas Massie force their hand. There is NO accountability for the ‘Epstein Class’ in the…

  • Zach Lahn for Governor of Iowa

Putting my pain into purpose. 🎗️🙏🏻 My journey as a 2x cancer survivor has taught me that silence isn’t an option when our future is at stake. With Iowa facing the 2nd highest cancer rate in the nation, we can’t afford ‘politics as usual.’ We need a leader who has the guts to name the…

  2. I just started my journey with MDS blood cancer on Thanksgiving. I can’t qualify for a bone marrow transplant ever because of my age. 73. I just realized I have to have an injection every three weeks and a blood draw two days after each one for the rest of my life. I am at the beginning, and I have a different cancer. You are such a survivor I can see that. Yes, you are inspirational, but I am going thru grief. I just went from denial to depression and anger. I am not at the acceptance stage as I am not even two months in. My first blood transfusion is tomorrow. I am so glad that I too have my faith, and I know that I am being carried by God and He is there even with me when I don’t sense his presence when I am in deep depression. Also, not stable rapid-cycling bipolar. I have microscopic colitis that can keep me home. A solo senior with no family. Parent have died. No spouse, no children. My niece immigrated to Israel. My goddaughter just got married to an Aussie and has immigrated to Australia. My two close friends are out of town. My brother is out of town. It makes it hard. And people that I thought were friends really aren’t. Maybe they are afraid of my diagnosis. But my doctor and his nurse are lovely, and Scripps Torrey Pines staff are great. A very warm environment. Alot of people with MDS are flying in from around the country as it is a rare blood cancer. San Diego. Thank you for letting me vent. I had to push for an appointment and I had to advocate to see a doctor and get a bone biopsy. I’m good at advocating. So many more illness. It is just shocking to me. I didn’t expect my life to be like this at 73 but you just don’t know what struggle you will have in life and we all have struggles and tragedies. No one escapes them.
